KNX home automation
KNX: a home that does what you ask, today and twenty years from now
KNX is the open standard for home and building automation. We have worked with it since 2010, and we are a KNX Gold Partner.
We speak English
I speak fluent English. From the first call to the end of the job, we handle everything in English: site visit, quote, works, and explaining every document you receive.
Why KNX
An open standard
Hundreds of manufacturers make KNX devices that talk to each other. You can mix switches, sensors and actuators from different brands.
One cable, many functions
Lighting, blinds, heating and cooling, alarms and energy data all share the same bus. Adding a function usually means no new chasing.
The files are yours
A working system, explained to you, the declaration of conformity and every project file, including the ETS project. They’re yours to keep: if one day you want to use another installer, you can.
Not tied to whoever installed it
Systems are programmed in ETS, the official KNX tool. With the project file, any other KNX installer can pick up the work. See our dedicated answer.
Built to last
The standard has been around for decades, and new devices stay compatible with those installed before them.

KNX Gold Partner
KNX Partner since 2011, now a KNX Gold Partner.
Our experience
We have been programming KNX systems in ETS since 2010. Our records hold 15 client installations, from around ten devices to more than eighty.
We keep our skills current: in 2024 we took an advanced KNX course covering security (KNX Secure), IP communication, energy management and HVAC.
We have also carried out KNX bus work abroad, in Munich.
What KNX can do
App and remote control
Control the lighting, blinds and heating in your KNX home from your phone, even when you’re out. Ilevia servers, set-up and support.
Supervision and BMS
Supervision of KNX systems, heat pumps, ventilation and energy meters over Modbus, with automatic email alerts. Built on LogicMachine.
Voice control
Controlling lighting, blinds and heating by voice in a KNX home: what’s possible, what you need, and what to ask before you install it.
Artificial intelligence
What artificial intelligence can actually do in a KNX home today, what is still experimental, and how we use it in our own work.
Frequently asked questions
- Does KNX work in an existing home?
- It’s at its best in a renovation, when the bus cable can go in. In a lived-in home we look room by room at what makes sense. See also KNX or wireless home automation?.
- What do I get when the job is finished?
- A working system, explained to you, the declaration of conformity and every project file, including the ETS project. They’re yours to keep: if one day you want to use another installer, you can.

What happens when you get in touch
I’m Daniele Lantieri, managing partner and technical lead at LantierImpianti. Here’s what happens after you call or send a message.
I speak fluent English. From the first call to the end of the job, we handle everything in English: site visit, quote, works, and explaining every document you receive.
You’ll speak to me
I answer the phone myself. If I’m on site, I’ll call you back as soon as I can: before the evening or the next morning.
Tell me what’s going on, in your own words
You don’t need the technical terms — that’s our job. Just tell me what you can see or what isn’t working. A photo helps if you have one.
I tell you what I’d do
For a small job, we agree a day. For bigger work, I come and take a look and then send you a written quote. The site visit for a quote is free.
You decide, in your own time
Calling or writing commits you to nothing. Take the time you need, and feel free to get other opinions.
