Our mark

A logo drawn by hand in 2006, and never changed

Daniele drew it in 2006, when the sole trader business started. It hasn’t changed since: it carried over to the partnership in 2008 and it’s still ours.

How to read it

Almost every mark in the logo can be read two ways. As you scroll, the logo comes apart one scene at a time, and at the end it’s whole again.

If you prefer pages without motion, your device can ask for that: you’ll see the same scenes standing still, one after another.

The colours

Four solid colours, exactly as in the original file: graphite, light blue, indigo and yellow. They’re the colours of this website too.

Two readings for every mark

  1. The whole logo

Take a closer look: almost every mark can be read two ways. Next to the drawing is the name “LantierImpianti”, with a light-blue “I”.

  2. A tap

Take the arc on its own and add the drop: it’s a tap. Traditional plumbing, in homes and buildings.

  3. A light bulb

The same arc, without the drop. Inside is the filament; below, the three lines of the screw thread. It’s a light bulb: the electrical installation. Plumbing and electrics in a single mark.

  4. The filament

The zigzag is the bulb’s filament. In electronics, it’s also the symbol for a resistor.

  5. The three lines

They’re the bulb’s screw thread, the part that twists in. They’re also the symbol for earth in electrical systems.

  6. The line and the wave

Slanting, as they do in the logo, they suggest water.

  7. Direct and alternating current

Laid flat, with the line above the wave, they become the symbol for direct and alternating current.

  8. Ice and sun

The ice stands for air conditioning, the sun for heating. Together they’re climate: cold and hot.

  9. Every mark has two jobs. So do we.

Water, power, heating and cooling: different systems working together, with one point of contact.
